Lantang valley trek and Yala Peak (57200m) is an ideal trekking and peak climbing in the beautiful Langtang Himalayan region. The mountain near the Tibetan border is perfect for both amateurs and veteran climbers. The summit is an excellent viewpoint to observe the Himalayan vista of the area, including Shishapangma (8013m). Yala Peak is a non-technical mountain which means beginner climbers can climb quickly. It can also be a practice ground for more challenging 7000m and 8000m peaks.

Lantang Valley Trek and Yala peak climbing is a congenial delightful and ideal journey in the Langtang region. It is famous for providing exceptionally beautiful vistas of the mountains, native hidden culture, and Langtang Himalayas ranges. The Langtang Trekking Trail is an extremely beautiful and fascinating destination in Nepal. Which is not far from the capital city of Kathmandu and it’s just 137 Km far. The trail passes through the forested trails with rhododendron and fir trees. Besides that, you will also pass through the cultural settlements of the different ethnic communities. The Yala Peak summit provides you with the majestic vista of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Lenpo Gang, Sishapangma, and other snow-capped mountains. Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at the Kathmandu Airport where you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free until evening when you’ll enjoy a welcome drink with your guide and introduce each other. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m)

We head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Sybrubesi. The first part of your trip we will drive up to Trishuli Bazaar smoothly. Then, the path moves along the gravel road. During the rainy season, the road is sometimes blocked due to landslides. Stay overnight at lodge in Sybrubesi.

Day 03: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (1465m)

Today, the first part of the trail crosses through the Langtang Khola. This trail gradually ascents up to Bamboo passing through Landslide. Afterwards, we gently ascend to Rimche village (2400m) through Bamboo (1960m) which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. We will have our lunch at this place. At the end the trail is level to the Lama Hotel. On route you could see red pandas, monkeys and bears if you are lucky. Overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3435m)

From Lama Hotel, we continue gently ascending above the Lantang Khola. As the trail proceeds, it becomes steeper. From time and again we can have the most exotic sights of Lantang Lirung lying at 7246 m. The trail leads to a log bridge and on climbing further we come across lush meadows of Ghoda Tabela at 2992m. We will see several lodges and a police check post. Further on, the route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages showcasing water-driven mills and prayer wheels. On descending for a while, we arrive at Langtang village after crossing a stream and reaching to the height 3430 m. Langtang village is the headquarters for Langtang National Park and has flat-roofed Tibetan style houses, hotels and cultivated lands yielding buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips, barley etc. Overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3880m)

The trail skirts gradually through rich yak pastures and interesting traditional villages of Muna to Singdun. We cross a wooden cantilever bridge and reach a wide valley after climbing a moraine. Finally, on ascending along the mountain passes we arrive at Kyanjin Gompa. There is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. Overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Acclimatization and Rest in Kyangjing Gomba

This is a day to rest and relax. There are several worthwhile excursions up to the glaciers. The valley is in the midst of exceptionally rugged and beautiful mountain ranges, ringed with glaciers, snowfalls and huge moraines. Overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Base Camp

Today we trek along the rocky glacier trail. While trekking you will enjoy with the views of Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Yala peak and others. Your overnight stay will be at the tented camp and the food will be prepared by our professional camping cook.

Day 08: Summit Yala Peak (5730m) and return to the Kyanjin Gomba

Today our main adventure day begins. An early morning, we wake up and prepare ourselves for the climb. When you reach the summit of Yala peak, you will be stunned by the panoramic views of Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and many other Tibetan mountains. After the summit you will return to Kyangjin Gompa for overnight stay at lodge.

Day 09: Trek from Kyanjin Gomba to Lama Hotel

After breakfast we take a route back to Lama Hotel following the same trail that we had. We stop briefly for lunch on the way and thereafter continue our walk down to Lama Hotel.

Day 10: Trek from Lama hotel to Syabrubeshi

After breakfast at Lama Hotel, we set off for Syabru Besi where our vehicle will be waiting for us. The route to Syabru besi is rough and sometime in monsoon the landslide blocks the road.

Day 11: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

We drive back to Kathmandu through the endless terraces of lowland Nepal, the 7-hour drive get back us to the buzz and bustle of Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Final departure

Our representative will come to pick you up at hotel and transfer you to the International Airport according to your flight schedule.
