Details Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Dhap from Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will be driving to Dhap from Kathmandu, which takes 9 -10 hours to reach Dhap. We are starting our Pikey Peak trek from here.
Day 02: Dhap trek to Japre Easy day
The first part of the Pikey Peak trek trail goes from Sigane. We will contact Japre Village (2920m/9580ft) for a few hours through the constructed road.
Day 03: Trek from Japre to Pikey Base Camp
Today after breakfast, We will climb up to Bhulbhule. A single lodge provides a great view of the Everest . Now We are following the Trail of Pikey Peak trek, splitting our trail from Bhulbhule. Then the trail continues to the hillside below Taklung Danda. We will walk through the rhododendron forest. Walking for about 2 hours, we will reach our destination. Today we have overnight here, and take it easy. We are looking for the morning to climb the Summit of Pikey for a Sunrise view.
Day 04: Sunrise at Pikey Peak, Trek to Junbesi
After breakfast at Jasmane Banjyang, we will descent to Junbesi. Trekking to Junbesi follows the trails of old-growth forests to Traktor. It is short and meets the Everest Trail from Jiri. Furthermore, we will walk for some hours and reach Junbesi which. It is the traditional village of Sherpas.We will watch the Buddhist monasteries and the Sherpa culture and architecture. We spend the rest of our day there today Pikey Peak trek.
Day 05: Trek from Junbesi to Taksindu
Early in the morning, we will prepare ourselves for our trek today. After breakfast, We are heading towards the Salung village. We will cross the rsuspension bridge of Ringmu Khola and climb the forest with a view of Numbur mountains.
We can also get a view of Mount Chamlung and Mount Makalu. Continuing, we will reach Ringmo. Ringmo is famous for Apple. From here, we are trekking towards the Taksindu La, where we will spend the rest of the day.
Day 06: Trek from Taksindu to Chiwang monastery & Phaplu 
Our trek today is to the small town of Phaplu and Chiwong Monastery. The monastery is famous for celebrations of the Mani Rimdu festival in autumn. We will then get back to Phaplu and rest for the day.
Day 07: Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu
From Phaplu early in the morning, we take driving back to Kathmandu. The drive is about 8/9 hours of local drive-by bus or sharing a Jeep.

Generally, people who are physically and mentally fit can-do pikey trek easily. The route to this trek is very easy.

3. Where am I sleeping at night?

There is no need for tents to trek as there is a facility to stay everywhere. There are tea houses in all the camps, you will sleep in room during whole trek. 

5. Is drinking water easily available during the trek? Is it safe?

6. How do we Travel from Kathmandu to Phaplu ?

We have two option to travel Phaplu.

  1.  Traveling via flight (duration: 30 minutes) 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu airport.
  2. Traveling via Bus or jeep : It take 8-9 hourse to arrive Phaplu by drive.
